You truly understand nutrition when you realize it’s all about the ingredients. This ice cream looks like it’ll be conventionally unhealthy, but you can actually make a sweet treat like this with real eggs, cream, cacao, etc. Perfectly healthy.
The problem with commercialized dessert is that it’s usually filled with the absolute worst ingredients known to mankind. Soybean oil. Gums. Artificial dyes. It’s everything that’ll nuke your gut on a long enough time horizon. And we don’t want that.
Then again, on the flip side of things, even though you CAN make healthy versions of dessert with the absolute best ingredients….
Do you still want to eat 10 of these a day? Do you want to eat bucket loads of raw milk ice cream everyday? I mean maybe we all do, but we know what’s going to happen. We’re not going to look very good.
This is the macronutrient side of the equation that’s very easy to forget once you get into the health side of things here. There needs to be a balance. Yes, eat healthy food but you need to understand portion & food control.
The ingredients you select are the decider of the health of your INSIDES, but how much of eat & what you eat decides your OUTSIDE.
We need to be mindful of both.
