This year’s World Humanitarian Day (WHD) campaign's soft launch on August 19th aims to grow global appreciation of humanitarian work and show its positive impact.
On behalf of the wider humanitarian community, OCHA has developed a campaign that builds on the saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’ Similarly, it takes a village to support a person in crisis. It will bring a light on the hundreds of thousands of volunteers, professionals and crisis-affected people who deliver urgent health care, shelter, food, protection, water and much more.
Through digital art and visual storytelling, the campaign will tell the stories of humanitarians, their work and the people they serve.
