This Sunday
We welcome Matt Rowe from Arbury Road Baptist Church as our guest preacher this Sunday, when we resume our Baptist Basics series with a look at Church Membership.
We return to a 10:30 start, but why not come a little early to catch up with others while you wait for the service to begin.

Beautiful welcome
The approaches to church are looking so welcoming at the moment, with our pot plants in place (and even our ‘unofficial’ little soldiers standing guard at the base of the wall).
And didn’t the flowers look amazing for Remembrance Sunday?
Thank you to the lovely people who ensure they are placed there in the first instance, and then looked after.

Friday Ladies tonight
If you’re reading this late on Friday, get a hustle on …
Hello ladies! Want to join a group that is lots of fun and build friendships with other women? Then Friday Ladies is for you!
Friday Ladies is a group of women of all different ages who meet and enjoy time together at 7.30pm on the third Friday of each month. We meet in the Fellowship Room or in the Church Hall depending on the activity.
Since starting we have run quizzes, a paint night, a film night, completed an escape room and engaged in an interesting talk about Norway to name just a few of the meetings we have had.
Tonight we are having a Christmas craft and games night.
We would love to see you there!
Contact Lucy Thatcher if you’d like to chat and find out more.

Are you up for the 3P’s evening?
Special plea from Lucy Thatcher:
Hi everyone,
November is flying by! Please make sure you sign up for the Pizza, Prayer and Pudding evening at church on December 2 – the sign up sheet is in the Foyer in the Hall or you can email me using the link below.
Inspired by the Carlson’s regular 3P’s nights, we will be sharing fellowship over pizza which we will follow with a range of ways to pray for all ages. This will include activities and fun ways to engage in prayer. There is something for everyone!
We will need puddings too! So please do find the board and sign up.
Please don’t leave it until the last minute to sign up!
Thanks Lucy

Updates in print after the false start – and we have a deadline!
There really will be some printed versions of this update available on Sunday (we had to hold over their production for a week), so please keep an eye out for anyone in church who who might not have received this email and ask if they’d like a printed copy, which should be in the entrance foyer.
If you have an item to be included as a notice please send to Graham Harris by 6pm Tuesday.
Also, please keep an eye out for the rolling updates on the screen before and after the service.

Supporting Mission
There are now donation boxes for Armenian Ministries and Tools With A Mission in the church office. If you have an item to donate at any time, please pop it in the box and it will be distributed to the relevant charities.
There is also a box for your used stamps in the foyer. This is to support the work of the Royal National lnstitute of Blind People (RNIB).

Looking for information?
There’s plenty going on in and around church, so do please keep checking back with the noticeboards. It’s easy to pass on by without pausing for a read, so take a moment to check that you haven’t missed anything.
Also, please bear in mind that people other than our congregation see these boards, so if there is something you would like to raise awareness of, do please let us know.

Live The Story singers – could this be you?
Would you like to sing Carols at our Live The Story event on December 17? We’re planning to have a group of singers to create a lovely atmosphere for people visiting the nativity scene (complete with live animals – the nativity scene, not the Carol singers), and all the other things happening.
We should stress that it’s not a formal performance – in case the thought of people sitting and watching puts you off – and you will be outside.
If there are enough people who come forward we plan to have two or three sessions, allowing you to sing for some of the time but still be able to mingle and enjoy the rest of the event.
You don’t have to commit to any rehearsals – it’s just a case of turning up and singing to recorded backing tracks – but we do need to know if you’d like to be part of this, to help with planning.
If you’d like to join in please let Janet Harris know via [email protected] or on 07858 252542 (n.b. Janet’s landline as shown in the church directory is no longer active).
