Our upcoming discussion will be on The Paris Apartment By: Lucy Foley. Jess needs a fresh start; she’s broke and alone. Her half-brother Ben didn’t sound thrilled when she asked to visit him in Paris. He reluctantly agrees to a visit. However, when she arrives; Ben is nowhere to be found. His apartment is very nice, in an exclusive building. Jess questions how Ben could have afforded to live in such luxury. The longer Ben stays missing; the more she questions her surroundings along with the occupants in the building. The residents seem like an eclectic bunch who aren’t particularly friendly, There is the socialite, the nice guy, the alcoholic, the girl on the verge and the concierge. Everyone’s a neighbor. Everyone’s a suspect. Everyone knows something they’re not telling!

The definition of a White Elephant Gift is “A possession which its owner cannot dispose of and whose cost is out of proportion to its usefulness!” Ha! Therefore, please bring a beautifully wrapped keepsake to our January meeting! Maybe it's something you received for Christmas that left you speechless, or an item found while out shopping that evoked uncontrollable laughter…..a White Elephant is the gift that keeps on giving! We will play a fun grab bag game. Have fun—be creative!
