Omar Victor Diop reshaping history, the unusual world of Sofie and a brilliant Miles Aldridge retrospective

Newly opened exhibition by the acclaimed Senegalese contemporary artist Omar Victor Diop, captures a contemporary sense of Africa, often focusing on the reconfiguration of history, the diasporic experience and the global politics of black resistance.

The false credo of luxury is the overarching theme of the colourful retrospective by renowned British photographer Miles Aldridge. His photographs depict psychedelic interiors furnished with comfort items from the American suburbs - all with the aim of expressing the success of the owner.

Open for the last few weeks, German artist Snezhana Von BĂĽdingen-Dyba's exhibition tells the story of Sofie, born with Down's Syndrome, growing up in a small village in Germany, living in a secluded 16th-century fairytale mansion, through enchanting portrait photographs.
