Learning the structure and process on how politics work in Minnesota can be overwhelming. We are here to try and help you better understand the process.
Politics in Minnesota start with the BPOU.
You can learn more about what a BPOU is on our website.
Getting involved in your local BPOU is key to not only volunteering with us for local events or being on the local executive board for the Houston County Republican Party but it is also where delegates are elected. Delegates have voting power to influence politics both locally, state and nationally.
You may have also heard the term "precinct strategy". Our Houston County Republican Party BPOU is our "precinct strategy". Delegates are people who will get to vote on candidates running for races but also National, State and Local topics such as who is part of the Minnesota GOP board.
If you want to shape local, state and national politics for the Republican Party, being a delegate is key!
The Minnesota GOP is offering training on-line for those who would like to take it. Details below (Zoom conference).
