Your Best Life Is So Close...For Now, Keep Investing for the Future!
Have you run out of things to look forward to? Maybe when you used to have a vacation on the horizon, you spent a lot of time looking forward to it. Now, perhaps, you get stressed by it--there's so much to prepare and things have to go just right. Maybe you used to look forward to the next concert, but now that you've been to a bunch of shows, the idea of it all loses a bit of its shine. Are there things you look forward to? Or have those things become less and less? God speaks right into that gut feeling--"And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!" (2 Corinthians 3:11) If the temporary things like vacations and concerts come with glory and awe that fades over time, think about an eternal life with God himself? Eternal peace and joy, never a tear or one bit of sadness. Just God and goodness and restored relationships with all his people. Ah, the glory! Now that is something to look forward to! This Sunday, we get another glimpse into that future, but the focus is a bit different. In view of that future glory, live your lives as a "living sacrifice" (Romans 12:1). Between services, we will also continue our "Forgiveness" Study. Even if you haven't been able to attend yet, please jump right in! Each class stands alone, so you will fit right in. I'm looking forward to seeing you this Sunday! - Pastor Kolander

Forgiveness Bible Study
How do you forgive and forget? Should I forgive someone who doesn't say they're sorry? Even if I can forgive, how can I deal with the hurt caused? What about broken trust? These questions and more will guide our discussion on forgiveness for the last two weeks of this study. Even if you haven't come to the last three weeks, you will fit right in! Sunday school is offered at the Bible Study hour for our children. I look forward to discussing what God has to say about forgiveness--both his and ours--these next two Sundays! I look forward to seeing you there for some powerful study and discussion! - Pastor Kolander
