REST-COAST project wins the Polish Award of Intelligent Development

The REST-COAST project is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the Polish Award of Intelligent Development in the category of "The Project for Future". This competition was ran by the Polish Intelligent Development Forum Foundation, which aims to integrate science and policy in Poland by bringing together researchers, universities, the business sector, and local and provincial authorities.

The 3rd MedCOP Climate conference was held in Tangier, Morocco on 22-23 June, 2023. This significant event aimed to provide support for climate change mitigation efforts and promote collaboration among stakeholders in the Mediterranean region.

REST-COAST with a remarkable presentation at the IWMO 2023

REST-COAST made a notable presence at the IWMO conference, where the project coordinator, Prof. Agustin Sanchez-Arcilla of UPC, delivered a presentation introducing the project and its innovative approach towards combating the escalating degradation of coastal systems. The presentation emphasised the utilisation of advanced modeling tools to assess risks, provide support for restoration initiatives, and adapt designs in response to both climate change and human pressures.

REST-COAST joins this year's Wildlife Research and Conservation conference

The REST-COAST project had the privilege of participating in the Wildlife Research and Conservation (WRC) conference held in Berlin from 9-11 September. WRC2023 served as a dynamic platform for wildlife scientists from various disciplines, all passionate about conservation of species, to convene and exchange ideas. The conference aimed to showcase the latest breakthroughs and inspire future research endeavors.

REST-COAST at the Restoration of Urban Marine Ecosystems with Solutions Based on Nature conference

On 13 June, BlueNetCat organised a technical conference titled "Restoration of Urban Marine Ecosystems with Solutions Based on Nature."

The event brought together over 80 international experts, including maritime and coastal engineers, biologists, and more. Held at the Instituto de Ciencias del Mar (ICM) - CSIC in Barcelona, Spain, the conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
