The Wallet War is similar to the browser war that occurred in the early days of the Internet. Whether you want it or not, you are involved. Learn to take your stand. MyData.org has a read about the topic here.
The wallet war is a fight about societal values and power. It is a war for and between ecosystems. Currently, three groups are delivering wallets, big Tech, governments, and all kinds of private initiatives.
Big Tech, like Apple, has an ID for its closed ecosystem. With Apple ID, you improve the user experience with your data for Apple devices only. Governments enable e-gov, and all private ones serve specific use cases.
Threefold and its wallet is a private initiative. You activate it with Threefold Connect. Software providers will pay for cloud services with the wallet, and they identify themselves with it to deploy code on Threefold Cloud.
With Threefold, you open up the innovation space for co-designing the future while the technology solves problems for all the existing ecosystems. That's what I like about it during these transitioning times.
The Threefold eco-system offers a foundation to build - step by step.
