Mine is Yellowstone. I love the mountains and the rivers and the wildlife and the wide open spaces and the big sky. I love it all!
My hubby and I started going there thirteen years ago and we've now made it an annual tradition. We love to hike and usually trek five or six miles every day. This year we spent quite a bit of time in the park itself, but also in Grand Teton, Big Sky, and Bozeman. On our last night, we treated ourselves to a Bonnie Raitt concert at the Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Montana. She's amazing - 73 years old and still going strong!
Another special thing about our trip this year is that it's the first time we've been back since I published my novel, Lap Baby, which is partially set in Emigrant, MT (right outside Yellowstone). I took a few photos with my book "at the place where she was born."
