The Sogetsu Brandywine Study Group will be sponsoring the memorial to celebrate the life of its Advisor and Sensei, Midori Tanimune, at the Dupont Country Club, Wilmington, DE, on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, 11:00 AM.

The event will be a buffet luncheon followed by testimonials, poetry readings, and reminiscences of Midori and her many contributions to ikebana and the arts. Her study group will hold their annual exhibition in conjunction with this event.

Applying for the Teaching Scholarship

You may apply for the Midori Tanimune Memorial Teaching Scholarship no matter your current training level if you are committed to teaching ikebana.

Applicants can apply for funds to cover associated fees to participate in events/learning opportunities such as:

• Workshops/Training
• Conferences/Seminars
• Demonstrations

Recommendation:

• A recommendation by your ikebana teacher is required.

Deadline:

• Applications must be received at least 6 months prior to the event.

As the NCAR Advocates have established themselves as an essential support entity for the I.I. North and Central American chapters, we are proud to provide funding for their essential digital communications platforms and supporting their travel to meet face-to-face with their chapters.
