May 15-20, the 5th
“Art Meets Wine in the High Desert” celebrates Oregon Wine Month.
There is something for everyone at this week-long event.
To kick off the week, how about a virtual cooking class with none other than Kasia Wilson, the cheesemonger from Market of Choice in Bend, OR? Will it be gourmet mac and cheese or fondue? Stay tuned to find out!
Choose a virtual wine-tasting with one of three unique winemakers; with very different stories, wines and wine-making practices. Experience three of their wines and cook up several of their wine pairing suggestions all in the comfort of your own home with your friends.
The grand finale is the “Live!” event (2 sessions) at the SHARC in Sunriver, OR on May 20. This is a “kick-off to summer” event in Sunriver, and not to be missed if you like great wine, food, and entertainment. Ten carefully selected winemakers and ambassadors representing different Oregon viticulture areas will offer tastings of their unique wines to tantalize your palate. As a compliment to the wines, enjoy some great food pairings from La Paella, Hot Lava Bakery and more. The Artists’ Gallery Sunriver will offer live art demonstrations for a personal encounter with the artists, as well as a pop-up shop with special pieces created just for this event.
Concurrently, participants will be able to browse and bid on all auction items being offered in the online auction, including art, wine, wine packages, travel, outdoor experiences and more. All of this while enjoying great music provided by Wil Kinky.
Tickets for the events will go on sale March 1. Ticket sales for virtual events will close on May 1.
Ticket sales for the all-inclusive Live! event on May 20, will be sold until the limit is reached for the two sessions.
“It is a great opportunity for community members and beyond to get together, enjoy wine and friendship while caring for our community by supporting the Sunriver Women’s Club philanthropy program,” said Debbie Baker, president of SRWC.
