Hello, my dears!
This week in Forget Me Not, we’re spending time with Bess. Right now Bess is in one of those in-between stages. Things are happening (Edwina has moved in, Dorothy has moved on) or are on the horizon (Have fun at college, Jane!). But what’s in store for Bess? What does she need right now? What does she want most of all?
Keep in mind that Forget Me Not is a work in progress, and I don’t have all the answers yet. Some novelists know exactly what’s going to happen before they sit down to write. I personally like to make discoveries as I go along. Questions I’m pondering at the moment: Does Bess want a future with Joe? Is she ready for it? Has she fully grieved for Bill?
You’ve got a lot of listening to do this week – we have a new episode of Diary of a Mad Quilter too! This week, Marnie and Darrell go over to dinner at Sam and Jessica’s, who live in a part of town known as “New Milton Falls.” I’m having so much fun imagining the way that Milton Falls has grown and changed over the years. It occurred to me recently that I should have a character in Diary of a Mad Quilter live in one of our Friendship Album houses – Emmeline’s house on Walnut Street or Eula’s house on Hale Avenue.
