October 3rd holds special significance as it was the day Edgar Allan Poe was found near Gunner's Hall before he died on October 7th.

Spend a day with us celebrating his lasting legacy and keeping his spirit alive. Conclude the festivities with a toast to remember him always!

Hey, Sara, what even is a Kickstarter?

That's an excellent question. A Kickstarter is a way to launch a creative product, in this instance, an anthology.

When you back a project, also known as pledging, you're pre-ordering the product.

Why are you doing a Kickstarter for Volume III?

A Kickstarter allows me the freedom to make special things for you that I wouldn't otherwise be able to do - like offer special edition hardcovers of all three anthologies. 

It also allows me to see the interest in the anthologies in advance of publishing. For example, more orders may allow me to pay the authors more. It can also give me a better understanding of the demand for the continuation of the anthology series.

So, what's up with the launch party?

The Poe party is a completely FREE event. You will be able to enjoy the event whether or not you choose to pre-order books through the Kickstarter.

We will be calling attention to the Kickstarter during the event and holding book raffles for those who back on the first day.

But at the end of the day, we're all here because we enjoy celebrating Poe, so if you want to join us in toasting Poe, make sure you save the date! :-)
