We recently were on vacation and my son said to me, "You know what this reminds me of?"
"What?" I asked.
"Family Camp!"
Whether it was the family time together, the warm weather (we were in Florida), the natural surroundings, or a little of all of this, our Florida vacation connected him to his experience of Family Camp.
Back home, we have the fun memories of this recent family vacation. And soon we will making more memories together at Camp.
It is January and we are closer to Family Camp now than we were in September!
The program team has been working hard on the theme, writing the morning prayers and getting started on the age group activities. If you have ideas, we would love to have your help with planning the morning groups.
Just reply to this email and I will get you in touch with the program team.
Other committees have been working hard - on promotion of Camp, registration, fundraising and more. If you have a few hours of time to share with camp, let us know with a quick reply email.
Beside program writing, the biggest need at the moment is in getting the word out about Camp. We want to invite families to register for Camp, as well as priests to come for a day or a week to join us. We will open up the staff applications in a few weeks, so start spreading the word about staffing opportunities to teens and young adults you know.
There is still room on all 4 weeks of Family Camp. Consider inviting a friend to come with you to Camp.
We also have sample promo text if you would like to share info into your parish bulletin, school newsletter, or with friends.
Thank you for helping us to get the word out about Family Camp!
