Welcome to Prattle World I am your writer the ever-amazing ever-spectacular Spider-Dan and in these articles, I write about all sorts of random stuff…

I recently watched a classical period drama on Tonya’s recommendation https://instagram.com/mstonyatodd?igshid=Mzc1MmZhNjY=. I don’t recall ever being interested in seeing one before. They always appeared to be so stuffy, repressed & dull with men shouting “how unorthodox!” when a woman showed any signs of independent thought. I always hoped I’d get the chance to star in one in my acting days giving me the opportunity to research the topic. Much like the work of Shakespeare alas, it was not to be.

However Belle (2013) https://www.disneyplus.com/movies/-/7csEeIcuK2wn is a beautiful & historically important film. A mixed-race woman of noble blood becomes determined to knock a devastating blow against the slave trade. I couldn’t recommend it higher. I had my preconceived notions smashed like characters in the film and I’m so glad they were.
