Mike Of Genuine Chit-Chat

For Genuine Chit-Chat this week, Mike is joined by fellow PCC member Tony Farina for a massive discussion on the rock band everyone knows (but few know well); Weezer! The duo give band information & provides their early memories of Weezer, but the bulk of their conversation is ranking their 15 albums and discussing the various changes between albums and why some work while others don’t. Part 1 is out now and part 2 will be out next week (both parts are available now for all Patreon supporters)!

This week in Star Wars: Comics In Canon, Mike delves into the latest of Cavan Scott’s horror comics; Tales From The Rancor Pit, where 3 horror stories from across the Star Wars galaxy are recounted to the gangster Jabba The Hutt! One features haunted droids during the Clone Wars, the second features monster hunter Ty Yorrick during the High Republic era and the last features Han Solo, Leia & Chewbacca dealing with local creatures on Hoth, set shortly before the Empire attack! Mike also gives information on Hassarians, Cereans, Wampas, LEP droids and more!

Ripping into all things reality

It’s been a slow start in the first week of Love Island UK Season 9 with only flickerings of drama. We’re currently covering the show daily from Sunday to Friday, and skipping on the Saturday Unseen Bits. Maya Jama is the new host this season and has probably been about the best thing so far. With many social media followers up for grabs the longer islanders stay in the villa, most of our time this week has been to call out some of the more blatant game-playing.

Mr Terrific For Dummies

In this episode, we're joined by Matt B Lloyd, to answer the question 'Who is Mr Terrific?'.

First appearing for DC Comics in 1942, Mr Terrific is actually two different characters, with the second appearing in 1997. Both found their way to crimefighting in unexpected ways but quickly grew into the role. Terry Sloane, then Michael Holt, are both non-super-powered characters trying to do their best for their communities.
With a possible TV show in the works, this is definitely worth a listen!

This week on Indie Comics Spotlight, Tony dons a copper helmet, rocket pack, and faux leather jacket, he is a vegetarian after all, to do a solo look at The Rocketeer comics. This is all done in preparation for the upcoming hostile takeover of TV and Movie reviews next week where he and The 20th Century Geek, Mr. Scott Weatherly, will review the film.

Hey Spider-Fans! Haven’t written in a few weeks I’ve not been up to too much sorry life sometimes gets in the way. January is a busy month for me and I still haven’t finished my taxes!
I’ve mostly spent my time editing my Weebly website. Mostly cosmetic recently changing some colourings, fonts, images, links, reorganising pages, reviews etc.
The biggest updates are my new Episode Archive page with an embedded player where you can play every episode directly from the website (every blog post now has an individual embedded player for the associated episodes.) The Blog Categories & Archives on the Home Page (at the bottom or to the right) which will take you to a specific subject or date of an associated blog post.
That’s it, nothing that exciting just marvellous maintenance!
