Bedfordshire's Violence and Exploitation Reduction Unit (VERU) is proud to present…

On Saturday 18 March, we at the Bedfordshire's Violence and Exploitation Reduction Unit will welcome 120 young people aged 14 to 24 from across the county to come together at the University of Bedfordshire Postgraduate Centre, Luton, explore different themes and topics and come up with their own solutions on how to create a fairer society.

We would love to invite 10 young people you are working with to join us on the day.

The day will be hosted and facilitated by young people across Bedfordshire, supported by the Hope Collective Youth Management Team.

The day will consist of:

• An interactive panel discussion with key local young people and special guests
• Keynote/motivational speakers
• Thought provoking themed sessions (themes voted for by local young people)
• Live performances
• FREE giveaways
• FREE food and refreshments for all YP registered onto the event
• Presentation of ideas to invited guests, including key decision makers from all our local authorities within Bedfordshire
• FREE training & awareness sessions for parents/guardians and professionals

The young people’s policy platforms and solutions will form part of the ongoing Hope Hack project that will see their thoughts put forward to local and national influencers and policy makers.

While you are welcome to accompany your young people to the event, you will not be permitted to participate in the themed sessions, panels or workshops.

This event is by young people, for young people. Adults will only be on hand to supervise on the day.
