A Season of Change, Growth, and Capacity Building... Doing what we do best!
Is it just us, or has 2023 flown by? Perhaps it's the variety of community service projects we've been involved in or growing the capacity of our most popular programs, but here at IVCanDO, we've had a busy year so far... and that's just how we like it.
Let's take a moment to reflect on some of our biggest accomplishments!
- Hiring dedicated staff members to ensure IVCanDO operates efficiently and smoothly.
- Supporting many local nonprofits with outreach support and strategic planning services, including I.V. HOPE Village - a transitional living community being planned in Cave Junction.
- Expanding partnerships with local organizations to bring exciting programs to the Illinois Valley - like the Foster Grandparents Program with the Community Volunteer Network and Residential Energy Efficiency Upgrades with Energy Trust of Oregon.
- Hosting and supporting various local events including community trash clean-up efforts, nonprofit networking opportunities, local celebrations, informational sessions, and more.
- Increasing accessibility, recreational opportunities, educational signage, and safety of our local parks and outdoor areas.
- Continuing to grow and promote our most valuable programs, such as Cans for Kids and the Small Business Lighting and Security Program that encourage economic development, volunteerism, community pride and well-being.
With the growth that IVCanDO has enjoyed comes increased resources needed to meet our growing demands. Our Board of Directors set a goal to raise $7000 this year, and we are about 1/3 of the way to meeting that goal - and we need your help to succeed!
The BEST way to support IVCanDO is to pledge a monthly donation - even just $5 a month ensures our programs are able to thrive and help the people, businesses, and natural areas that rely on our work.
Can you pledge $5 or $10 a month and become a sustaining supporter of IVCanDO?
