FARMED invites you to come to the Opportunities 2022 & Beyond Project Celebratory Launch on Saturday, September 2^nd at the Quesnel Farmers Market from 8:30am to 1pm.

The launch activities include demonstrations of the AgriConnect – Connecting Consumers and Producers website, a gift basket draw and prizes, project sponsor & partner recognition (10am), FARMED member identification passport activity and more.

FARMED is pleased to announce the Opportunities 2022 & Beyond project Stories and Videos webpage is now up and running and will focus on North Cariboo agriculture, producers, products and programs as well as Indigenous wild edible plant identification, availability & traditional uses. FARMED will continue to work with videographers and writers to incorporate additional content to this webpage.

A special recognition for the hard work of FARMED directors Joleen Morrison (Videography), Paula Guilbeault-Roballa (Webpage and Story production) and Heloise Dixon-Warren (Stories) for their hard work in creating the videos and stories currently posted to the site including videos on the Quesnel Regional Library Seed Library and Sugaring Off Farm Festival and stories on the Agricultural Land Reserve Policy Review Project and Birch Syrup.

The date of the 2023 Bouchie Lake Harvest Festival is Sunday, October 1st. It is a chance to celebrate AGRI-Culture and ART-iculture by bringing together both artist and producer vendors at an on-farm setting! The festival is a 4-hour celebration that is about colour, creativity and community!! 

There are lots of ways to participate and we would welcome you to spend the day with us, the alpacas, donkeys, horses / ponies, and 2 sheep, 2 chickens and 1 goat. Included as part of the event is The GREAT Squash Weigh In, the GIANT Turnip, Weird and Wonderful Veggie Competition, Apple Pressing, and more.

We are welcoming artisan, crafter, producer and home based business vendors to the farm to set up a booth and /or artists / non-profits to participate on the "Art Trail".

If you wish to set up on the Art Trail and demonstrate your art or craft and /or provide an activity to the attendees / guests there is NO fee.

Thus far, the Quesnel Ambassadors have confirmed that they will be joining in the fun again along with 9 registered vendors.
