On Wednesday December 21st, the Pickleball Site committee met with Mitch. The members Mike Klatt, Ed Hopkins, Mike Risaliti, Fred Borden and Larry Garnett had a friendly and open meeting regarding current activities and status of the new courts. 

1. The new wall under construction is undergoing additional structural support. The design, approved by the county, is also the same design employed by Disney World, so they are confident the wall will be sufficient for our needs.

2. Once the wall is completed, trees and bushes will also be planted on the berms. The wall will run for 390' straight to the north. The space between the wall and fence will be rocked in for future seating. 

3. The wall consists of used railroad ties, they are environmentally approved for use. There is no real risk for breathing or run off issues.

4. The new courts and fencing and electrical conduit are all still scheduled for January 2023 completion. It will still require some 45 days before we can play on it. 

The committee is also working on several other issues to prepare for our new site including sun screens and seating. We will try to keep everyone advised as we move forward.
