This holiday season, why not try to shop locally? And to me, that means finding things, ideas, experiences in Switzerland. I’ve met a lot of interesting and talented people through the Foodies in Switzerland group. I started compiling a list here. I have so many more to get out before the start of the season. But it is a start.

Want to grow some greens in your home (especially over the winter)?Local startup Caulys wants to help you do just that. 

Zoe over at TogetherInSwitzerland.com put together a list of Christmas markets in Switzerland.  However,  I'm finding it hard to find the artisanal ones with local crafts people. There is J'aime Lutry  in Lutry. There was a nice one in Oron la Ville over this weekend. And I will be at my local school's marche noel on 10 and 11 of December.  I'll let you know how it goes. 

Last, but not least, the most interesting food item I have found for my custom gift basket to my in-laws is saffron honey  from Papiy.ch in Chatel St- Denis. YUM!
