What's on your list? I would love to know. Just reply to this email.
Other interesting bits and bytes (I'm originally from high tech, I find that punny ha ha) :
The baguette and the artisanal know-how and culture of baguette bread in France is recognized and inscribed on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Want to grow some greens in your home (especially over the winter)?Local startup Caulys wants to help you do just that.
Zoe over at TogetherInSwitzerland.com put together a list of Christmas markets in Switzerland. However, I'm finding it hard to find the artisanal ones with local crafts people. There is J'aime Lutry in Lutry. There was a nice one in Oron la Ville over this weekend. And I will be at my local school's marche noel on 10 and 11 of December. I'll let you know how it goes.
Last, but not least, the most interesting food item I have found for my custom gift basket to my in-laws is saffron honey from Papiy.ch in Chatel St- Denis. YUM!
If you see interesting food-related events or ideas, don't be afraid to let me know. Better yet, if you personally are hosting something or have something you want to share... definitely let me know so we can share it with the community.
Big fat foodie hugs and holiday wishes, Jennifer
