Good Times were had by all.  We had a great turnout and great weather.  Everyone finished and no one got lost.  ;-)

We set a goal of raising $20,000 through this Fun Run.  So far, we have raised over $11,000.  You can help us close the distance by donating here.  Remember, 100% of the proceeds from the registrations and donations to this run go to our Higher Education fund.  100% of the money in that fund goes to paying tuition and buying educational supplies for vocational students who are learning skills that will get them jobs in Uganda.

I want to tell you two quick stories about the higher education  program with True Impact Ministries.  Our desire is to see students get an education that will get them to the point of being able to find a job.  We do this by sending students through a vocational study based on their abilities and their desires.

Olivia recently graduated with a certificate in Early Childhood Development and is now earning a living teaching.  The only way she would have attended school was through the help of True Impact and her sponsor.  Now she is at school every day. 

Gracious is looking for that opportunity.  His father, Arthur, died as a young adult, leaving two children behind.  Gracious has been attending Maranatha schools thanks to his grandparents, Pastors Patrick & Eva Walusimbi.  But he needs help as they cannot afford secondary school and vocational school for him.  If you are ready to sponsor a child in Uganda, check out Gracious and the others needing sponsors and click the Set Up Sponsorship link when you have made a decision.
