Oh, my. Ohhhhhhhh, my. It's July, which means—birthday! Not mine, of course, but my baby boy's. He's no longer a baby, though. He's now eleven. ELEVEN!!!! How did he grow up so fast? It's hard to believe...
In other news, the past few weeks have been a whirlwind! We've been doing some (minor) renovations to the house, and I've even been helping! I CAN be handy! 😂 Even Boy Kid has been interested in assisting his dad with the changes, which is nice. I love seeing him so into being a handyman. Girl Kid? Not so much; she'd much rather sit in her room and read. Kid gets it honestly—it's all I did when I was her age (up into my 20s, really).
In other, OTHER news, I’m plugging away at my next book—I’m aiming to get it out by Christmas, so fingers crossed that I don’t lose motivation/my muse. So far, I have 12 chapters written out of 22 planned, so that’s good. It’s progress! …Right? Right…
