Somehow, someone somewhere decided skipping the rest of autumn was a good idea. That’s the only explanation I can think of for it suddenly being 29 degrees overnight and only 40-something during the day. What happened to “cool in the morning but too hot for a jacket during the day” weather? We tried trick-or-treating on Halloween, but it was just too cold! 44 degrees with a bitter wind, and we just couldn’t fathom putting the kids through that. So after an hour, we headed off to the grocery store to get candy then came home. Rather uneventful, but it was good enough for us. What did you do on Halloween? Did you hand out candy or trick-or-treat?
