For the last year, I have served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Beacon. It has been an honor to curate stories about Vanguard’s sexy and superpowered heroes. This will not change. But I’m excited to announce we’re taking bold steps to include more value for our readers and introduce two new columns with each issue. 

We’ve listened to feedback and starting in December’s “New Year” edition, we’re going to be hosting two new segments in the Beacon. More than that, I’m excited to announce two additions to our staff. Not only are they valued members of the Vanguard community, they bring unique voices.  

While Martinez will focus on pantless activities, Chad Dalton will offer tips and tricks for making connections in dating in the “Tragedy Averted” column. Owner of the Hideout Coffee Shop, he has spent years coaching hopeless romantics after failed coffee dates. A self-proclaimed dating guru, he'll be talking everything from tips for first time meetups to sculpting a social media profile to avoid the crazy. Dalton’s mix of hopeful cheerfulness will entertain and give insight into the minds of men, regardless of their superpowers.
