We are the people of Israel whom the Lord spoke to through Moses. We are a priestly kin_dom, a holy people. Just as the Israelites of old responded, so shall we “everything that the Lord has spoken we will do.”

We are the disciples! Jesus sends us out to the “lost sheep” of Israel, this time. Do you know of a “lost sheep” who longs to be welcomed home? This is the day to reach out your hand in welcome. Invite your family, your friends, your neighbors to worship the Lord with gladness; come into his presence with singing. Psalm 100:2

Meet Our Partners in Ministry and Mission. This Sunday we welcome Pastor Glenn Schroder, pastor of Cascade Vineyard Church and King’s Pantry food bank ministry coordinator. During the month of June, please bring boxed macaroni and cheese and put it in the food basket in the sanctuary, or in the bin outside the office doors. Bless your ministry, Pastor Glenn!

Our congregation treasurer and council member, Diane Wearne, will be highlighting other ministry partners in July and August.

What Are We Singing This Week? This Sunday we sing perhaps the best known and most widely used of all psalm tunes. Can you guess what it is? Thanks to Tim Ditch for hymn selections every week. Take time to read the poetry of the hymns and Tim’s thoughtful commentaries on each one.

Pastor’s Schedule. Pastoral emergencies come at all hours and Pastor Dorothy is on call for those anytime. New office hours are Sunday after worship, as needed and Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Pastor Dorothy will be away on the following Sundays: July 30 and August 20.

Sunday Setup. We are looking for some fearless folks to help with setup, greeting the supply pastors, and getting the Zoom Balcony set up, especially on the Sundays when Pastor Dorothy is away. We have a few folks trained and could always use more helping, willing hands. There are step-by-step instructions. Get in touch with Pastor Dorothy or Tim to sign up.

Member Reception Sunday. We will welcome new members on Sunday, September 17. Maybe you know someone who is seeking baptism or community or fellowship. Invite them to experience God’s grace, welcome, and love at Christ the King! Please be in touch with Pastor Dorothy.
