From the last issue's on older workers, we transit to Gen Z. 

In a long read by Today Online, employers face challenges with Gen Z. Particularly in how they approach work, as they feel the younger generation is not motivated to work hard and is becoming too picky.

Younger workers who were interviewed disagreed with this, saying that they prefer to "work smart" and that they know a tight job market means they have many options.

They also think that the notion of working longer hours and giving up your personal life to succeed at work is outdated.

We think the earlier generation is equally entitled and unmanageable.

And this comes from commentary from the 90s.

Perhaps it is more of an age thing than a generation thing.

• MOM will be gazetting the code of workplace safety practice later this year and it will help guide corporate leaders and boards of directors on their WSH responsibilities, including conducting ground engagements.

• Companies must take a holistic strategy to develop and engage their staff and be conscious of blind spots, especially around DE&I and ethics, which are crucial to recruiting and keeping the appropriate talent.
• Singapore's economy has remained resilient and adopting the Flexi-Wage System (FWS), which includes the Monthly Variable Component (MVC), will help businesses prepare for a worsening international climate.

Conventional thinking says employees should remain at a company for several years. But many people who job hop tend to earn more quickly.

The stereotype of job hoppers receiving bad raps may be obsolete. In a tight labour market and a climate where corporations show less commitment to workers, many job-hoppers enjoy the advantages, obtaining large salary raises and speeding their careers.

Is this employment strategy sustainable, and will it haunt those who move quickly?
