Hello Readers,
It's spring! And my newsletter needed a transformation, thus the crescent moon and raven header. I have an affinity for the silvery crescent which shone the night I entered this world. Typically, the crescent moon is associated with feminine energy, the goddess, and the cycle of life—rebirth, renewal, death, and resurrection. But it also symbolizes many things in various cultures:
- Magic and mystery
- Good luck and fortune
- Mystical powers used to cast spells
- Death and the underworld
- Healing and protective energy
Okay, enough waxing about the crescent.
Can you believe it's been a year since my first newsletter? Wow! Thank you for coming along on my writing journey. I'm so grateful. 🌷 I'll try to hold your reading interest with my ever-growing book portfolio.
Writing Updates
In 2021, I initially started the Simone Doucet Series as a standalone novella. But Simone's character wanted to be something more. Thus, I continued her story as a series, placing her in various situations and conflicts. And now, she faces a new challenge alone without the help of friends. Does she have the courage to go it alone? I hope so. The new situation will test her conviction and grit further. I've given her a little pal (a parrot) to keep her company as she house-sits at Ballard House, a 150-year-old Victorian home with a gruesome past. Quite the character, the parrot is just as astute as Simone, picking up on the home's spectral energy and freaking out her owners. I'm having fun writing this one and can't wait to see how the story progresses.
