Celebrating women during Women's Small Business Month

It’s October, which is (among other things) National Women’s Small Business Month! We look forward to celebrating this occasion every year because Foursquare ITP is a small, woman-owned business with a tremendously talented group of women on staff who deserve recognition for their success. For instance, we’re excited that goDCgo, managed exclusively by women on our team, was awarded Best Print Marketing for this year's Getting to the Blossoms Guide from the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT).

We’re also excited that we can celebrate the fact that Jessica Alvarez, PTP (along with Reinaldo Germano) was selected for Mass Transit Magazine’s exclusive 40 Under 40 Award. Additionally, one of our project managers, Lisa Kay Schweyer, MPM & TDM-CP, was recently re-elected to the ACT Board of Directors.

Finally, while we’re planners at heart, we have female talent throughout the company. Our Marketing & Proposal Manager, Kristen Anderson, initiated, conceptualized, and managed every aspect of the Foursquare ITP rebranding effort. She led a team of developers, designers, and content creators to update Foursquare ITP’s new look and feel. We have a lot to celebrate and be thankful for in October—our women are a cut above the rest.

Earlier this month, we attended the APTA Transform Conference and Expo in Orlando, Florida. In addition to having a booth there, Reinaldo Germano presented a report we produced for APTA earlier this year about the transit workforce shortage.

Foursquare ITP has an office in Boston! We are excited to have a place to connect with our Boston-based colleagues and clients.

One of our Atlanta-area clients was featured in the news recently. With unanimous approval by the Gwinnett Board of Directors, the County is moving forward with their transit development plan, led by Foursquare ITP and a team of our partners.

We’re also thrilled to have produced a video for the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority to advertise what their TransAction plan means for the region.
