The Twitter vs. Threads battle rages on but there was plenty happening in other parts of the product/tech world as well this week. Let's get into it:

1. In case you haven't already seen, Threads reached 100M users in just 5 days, making it the fastest growing product of all time (ChatGPT got nothing on the Zuck). What remains to be seen now is if those users will actually retain or not 🤔
2. Speaking of fast-growing products, ChatGPT actually saw its first-ever user decline in June. According to SimilarWeb, traffic to its website fell by 9.7% globally. To be fair, when you grow as fast as ChatGPT did this was bound to happen eventually, but they'll be hoping it doesn't keep up for too long 😬
3. Something to seriously consider with any product/business is the question "is this venture scalable?" Not every idea or business model is best executed that way. FrontRow, a learning platform featuring celebrities in India, recently shut down for exactly that reason. They scaled to $4M of ARR (which is honestly pretty good) but struggled to move past that 😕
   
4. In chatbot world, Google is testing a new medical AI chatbot at the Mayo Clinic, and Anthropic just dropped its ChatGPT competitor. The name? "Claude" 👔
5. Shopify introduced an internal calculator that shames employees for having pointless meetings, by showing the cost of a meeting to the company (spoiler alert, meetings cost a lot). Honestly, we love this move 🤷‍♂️
