We recently launched a new section of our website, featuring transparent data about salaries in product roles, exclusively accessible for our newsletter subscribers. 🔥
Visit productmanager.jobs/salaries to view our salary data!
We're looking to add more anonymous, crowdsourced data from our subscribers to our list of salaries.
So, we're giving away $10 each to 5 lucky winners who submit their anonymous salary data through the form linked here. You must submit before August 1st, 2023 to win.
The best part? It only takes 30 seconds! That's a pretty sweet deal.

Last week was a crazy one with Apple's WWDC announcements, but the product + tech world never stops. Let's see what's hot this week:
- Every week, there's some company in the hot seat and you never want to be that one. Unfortunately for Reddit, it was their turn this week. Here's a little recap of what went down:
- Reddit's had a free API for a pretty long time now. In fact, many smaller businesses were built on top of that API. Recently, they decided to make it paid. Spoiler alert: it's nearly impossible to successfully make a free thing paid 🤷♂️
- Redditors got PISSED. They even organized a protest where a number of subreddits went "dark" and stopped using the platform this past week
- Then, it got worse. An internal memo leaked where the CEO tells employees that the blackout protest "will pass"
- Of course, this made redditors more determined to win and many protests are still ongoing
- On top of all that, the platform ran into a ton of outages and technical issues this week 😬
- Ultimately, this was a great lesson in customer feedback and how powerful a group of pissed off customers can be. We'll see where this leads in the upcoming weeks
- Salesforce jumped onto the AI bandwagon, launching a suite of "enterprise ready" AI tools it's calling AI Cloud. There's no doubt some incredible innovation will come from AI but the competition is going to be fierce ⚠️
- The trend of platforms making changes to improve creator monetization continued this week. This time, it was Youtube, as the platform decided to lower the barrier to join its monetization program as a creator. BRB, gonna go record some videos 📸
- AI video creation is a trend to watch, especially if you work in product marketing or growth. Synthesia, one of the pioneers in this space, just raised a $90M Series C. Add them to the quickly growing list of AI unicorns 🦄
