Welcome back to the productmanager.jobs newsletter
We hope everyone is having a great Memorial's Day weekend!
It may be a holiday weekend but we're still here to give you the latest open product roles, news, and resources 🔥 |
|
|
|
We recently launched a new section of our website, featuring transparent data about salaries in product roles, exclusively accessible for our newsletter subscribers. 🔥
Visit productmanager.jobs/salaries to view our salary data!
We're looking to add more anonymous, crowdsourced data from our subscribers to our list of salaries.
So, we're giving away $10 each to 5 lucky winners who submit their anonymous salary data through the form linked here. You must submit before August 1st, 2023 to win.
The best part? It only takes 30 seconds! That's a pretty sweet deal.

Let's get into the news!
- AI is going mobile, as OpenAI launched a ChatGPT mobile app for iOS. The real question is when will we be able to ask Siri these questions and get a useful answer? 🤔
- In a decision that has been met with some controversy, Google plans to delete inactive Gmail accounts starting in December 😮
- At this point, if you launch a successful social media app or feature, you can rest assured Meta will be copying it 🤷♂️. This week, we got a first look at Meta's upcoming Twitter competitor. Meta also followed iOS, adding editing to WhatsApp messages. Zuck does what he wants 😤
- Amazon's new payment tech scans your palm and will apparently be able to verify ages as well. Bartenders and sports venues are probably thrilled, college students maybe not so much 😅
- Photoshop can now do the Photoshop part for you! Adobe added AI image generation to Photoshop and it's pretty cool 😎
- And of course, the news everyone is talking about: Netflix is starting to enforce its crackdown on shared accounts. Meanwhile, Blockbuster (yeah, that Blockbuster) saw an opportunity to throw some shade 🤣
