💰 Product Salary Data Launch |
|
|
|
Let's be real for a second. Money talks.
When you apply for a job, you want to know the potential salary. Of course, other factors matter too. But we'd be lying if we said salary wasn't important. 🤷♂️
That's why we're launching a new section of our website, featuring transparent data about salaries in product roles, exclusively accessible for our newsletter subscribers. 🔥
To view our salary data, simply visit productmanager.jobs/salaries and follow the instructions once you are there!
Our data is compiled from a combination of jobs we've posted on our website and crowdsourced submissions from our community. There are lots of resources out there for transparency in software salaries, it's time to do the same for product jobs 💪

Yes, you read that right. It's giveaway time!
We're here to make you a deal 🤝
We're looking to add more anonymous, crowdsourced data from our subscribers to our list of salaries. By submitting your data, you're helping us bring more value to our community and contributing to greater product salary transparency.
To sweeten the deal, we'll be giving away $10 to 5 different lucky winners at the end of the giveaway. If we're being honest, your odds of winning are going to be pretty good 😳
How do you enter?
Simply submit your anonymous salary data through the form linked here (you can also find it on the salaries page or any of the giveaway announcement banners on our website). You must submit before August 1st, 2023 to win.
The best part? It only takes 30 seconds!

Now that we've gotten through all those big announcements, let's get into this week's news:
- Looks like Elon and Twitter have started a trend...Reddit is now making their API paid. They feel that companies crawling their data without returning any value should pay for their data, essentially calling out OpenAI and other AI companies 👀
- The classic argument of subtitles vs no subtitles just got more interesting. Amazon is launching an AI-driven feature allowing users to boost the audio for dialogue within content on Prime Video 🗣️
- Apple is adding a new journaling app to iPhone as it continues to expand its health-related features. Sounds like a great way to boost Daily Active Users to us 🤷♂️
- Slack is aiming to make organizing your thoughts and documents within Slack easier as it is launching Canvas, a new Google Docs-like feature within Slack. Looks like we no longer have to pin every piece of useful information to the top of our Slack channel 🥳
- Twitter removed access to the search bar when someone is not logged in. And of course, you've probably heard that they also took away the blue checks from nearly all celebrities, requiring them to now pay like the rest of us 😅
Now, let's get to this week's batch of jobs!
