The product and tech world is the gift that keeps on giving these days, there's so much news each week. Let's see what's new:

1. The FTC introduced a bill with major implications for just about every tech company. They're proposing a rule requiring companies to make it just as easy to cancel a subscription, as it is to sign up for one. Looks likes we'll be able to cancel before the free trial ends after all 🙏🏻
2. OpenAI announced they will be introducing "plugins" for ChatGPT. Essentially, there will be proprietary and third-party plugins you can install to enhance ChatGPT's capabilities beyond being a language model (e.g. it could stop being terrible at math). Notably, many of these plugins involve ChatGPT having access to the internet 😳
3. Microsoft decided to launch an Avatars feature in Microsoft Teams, in order to help alleviate people's zoom fatigue (or in this case team fatigue?). We were expecting this one to be much more weird than the feature ended up looking but Microsoft did a good job making the avatars feel normal for use in a meeting. This one is PM Jobs approved ✅
4. Starbucks' new CEO is going to be taking user research to a new level as he plans to work as a barista once a month. Imagine being a barista trying to make someones Pumpkin Spice Latte and the CEO of the entire company is there looking over your shoulder 😭
5. Twitter jus became pay-to-win as Elon tweeted this week that only verified accounts will be eligible to show up in the For You feed, which is where most Twitter users consume their content. He says this is the only realistic way to prevent AI bots from filling the platform but conveniently, this also means millions in revenue for Twitter 😑
