1. This week it was Adobe's turn to get in on the AI party, as they announced a variety of generative AI features for creatives at their Adobe MAX event. There was a huge number of announcements but some of the best tools included tools to remove filler words like 'um' when editing videos, and a tool that can generate svgs and vector graphics when given text prompts. 2. Swedish fintech company Klarna also released a new set of generative AI features including an AI-powered image search tool for shopping 👀
3. Data breaches at tech companies continue to get more frequent and serious. The latest was 23andme, which had a large amount of genetic data hacked and leaked recently due to a "credential stuffing attack". This week, to address the problem, they had to reset all user passwords. Let this be a great lesson in the importance of secure authentication practices in any tech product 🔐
4. What's better than a one-on-one conversation with AI? Groupchats with AI of course! Character.AI recently added new AI groupchat features to their platform, which lets you talk to trained AIs of well-known people 🔮
5. Google is now applying its generative AI capabilities to a new field: healthcare. The tech giant said it is working on generative AI tools for healthcare workers and doctors to quickly search healthcare records, scanned documents, and notes in one place 💪
